Isolation

Creative Direction, Photography, Set Design: Erin Giles

This work responds to the feeling of isolation experienced by many throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns. Throughout this period of uncertainty I was living between homes away from my family, so chose to incorporate elements of nostalgia to the set to represent a childhood bedroom growing further away. This includes a framed photo of my brother and I, my cat’s favourite blanket, and a water bottle added in varying frames to suggest time passing, alongside the bed’s state of being made/unmade.
